Steering Committee

Steering Committee Co-Chairs are elected by the Steering Committee. The members are volunteers from the Forum membership. The Steering Committee meets monthly and provides guidance, accountability, and oversight for the activities of the Safety Forum of the Inland Empire (SFIE), as well as linkage and coordination between the forum members. Steering Committee members will serve until the SFIE officially becomes a nonprofit organization.

The Steering Committee is responsible for the identification of resource needs and for making decisions about the operation of the forum, task forces, and assignments. Resources will be generated as needed to support activities of the forum by meeting fees and donations by venders. The Steering Committee is responsible for setting meeting dates, forum topics, providing membership recourse documents, and oversight of funds and development of governance documents.

Gayleen Grigoreas

Gayleen Grigoreas

Gayleen Grigoreas joined Safety Center Incorporated, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, whose mission is to provide safety education and training to the community, in 2006. Serving as Branch Manager for the Southern California region, Gayleen is responsible for Workplace Safety & Health training programs (both open enrollment and on-sites) conducted by Safety Center. Gayleen is responsible for growing and creating positive business relationships with both private and public organizations, as well as governmental agencies.

Ms. Grigoreas became interested in occupational safety & health in 1997 as a Store Manager for a major Convenience Store/Gasoline retailer. Gayleen saw first hand how implementing safety programs and awareness created dramatic changes within that organization. In an interview a few years ago, Gayleen mentioned, “The safety culture that grew within me has given me a strong conviction and passion for workplace safety.”

Gayleen continues to pursue that passion today by providing workplace safety resources to businesses and organizations throughout Southern California. In July 2007, she founded the Safety Forum of the Inland Empire.

In November 2010 she completed and earned her Safety Management Specialist Certificate and will soon look forward to adding the titled designation, Certified Safety Management Specialist (CSMS) to her name.
